very odd as my attorney and the arbitrator on the case with my Camaro where both very quick to dismiss me because I filed well after the 3/36K B2B warranty, but I had all the paperwork to show the issue started well before, I gave them many more attempts to fix then I needed too, the first time I brought the car in at 1,100 miles they had the vehicle 9 weeks, I could have filed then as reasonable time had come and gone at that point.

In CA when you file the claim based on the 1st repair of the recurring problem, It is my understanding if your 1st claim was at 1,000 miles and you had the same recurring issue several times before the factory warranty expires you can apply the lemon law in CA even if the warranty has expired at the time of your claim.

Whoever told you that doesn't know what they are talking about. I have NEVER head it referred to as the Federal Lemon Law. That person is an idiot and if your lawyer said that phrase get ANOTHER ONE.

FYI - There is a federal lemon law.The federal “lemon law”, also called the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, provideslegal recourse for anyone who has purchased a car that repeatedly fails to live up to its expected standards of quality and performance (hence the defective car being called a “lemon”, or a dud).

You have no idea what that Warranty act is because that is not at all what that means, It is why they ask you to provide maintenance records for warranty claims if you don't use the stealership for work. They can't force you to use them for all maintenance work to void your warranty. Please point out where in the act that it shows "lemon" or "dud" in the act.

The Magnuson-Moss Act is commonly referred to as the Federal Lemon Law because one of the items it contains is a framework (actually it tells the FTC to set it up) for resolving warranty disputes. Many times this is used for the period of time between the end of a state lemon law and the end of the warranty period. Mag-Moss is for almost all consumer products. 9 times out of 10, the lawsuits or civil cases brought about under the Act are for vehicle complaints.

No one told me anything. I did research and found it isn’t the way to go for my particular situation. Most people don’t know about it so take some time to read through. Who knows, you may have a case in the future and you’ll know where to start.

in the case of the Lemon Law, it is a very consumer friendly state. in the case of other things, not so much.
