I recieved an email today titled 'Hyundai Think Tank'. The email reads as follows...

It's no accident. Your vehicle's design was influenced by a team of real Hyundai drivers who've joined the Hyundai Think Tank. Now, we're eager to know what you think.

Visit the Hyundai Think Tank today. It's an exclusive online community for Hyundai owners like you. We're guessing that you have some pretty strong opinions, so we're giving you a platform to share them with us and others in the Hyundai family.

Your valuable input will help steer the future of our products, sales, service, marketing initiatives, and more. Even our slogan Driving the Future was developed by Think Tank members. You'll also have the opportunity to interact with other members who share your interests. We've built the forum to make this happen. Now, we hope you'll accept our invitation."

Has anyone else gotten this email? What is it all about? Is it worth actually signing up for?

It appears to be a blog that you can sound off to Hyundai about their models. IF that is the case I would say we should all sign up and give them our collective 2 cents.

I am a member as well. I like opportunity to attend the various web casts hosted by Hyundai management. Not every car company gives you access to interact with Product Managers and others. You also get the Family Circle Pricing by being a member. As mentioned, the chat is not as active there.

I am also a member for over a year. I bought my coupe using the "Family Circle Pricing" which got me a decent discount with no haggling...a simple transaction!

Thanks for the info. I looked at the number of people who have commented on the different cars and it appears as though no one is signing up. Strange!

Many folks sign up and then stop using the site quickly because it's usually dog-slow for every mouse click... and most navigation takes several steps. It's just too ponderous. I'm one that tried... and gave up. I tried again after the ThinkTank redesign... no improvement noted.

For a while a few Hyundai ThinkTank moderators and online employees were active on GenesisOwners.com... but I haven't seen them for a while now. Hopefully they still read/lurk in the background to keep a finger on the pulse of the customers.

I belong to it. I bought my Genesis thru the Circle plan. $39400 for the 2011 v8. A lot of input on the Equus . We were given the schedules where the cars would be shown off at dealers before hand. It is worth doing. All the new commercials are tested there first etc.
