Hyundai V6 Durability.

So I was chatting with my mechanic and they were talking about how they didn't really like Hyundais and Kias because obviously working in the industry, they have obviously seen all the behind the scenes. He said that they're "garbage." Yes, they're nice and they've gotten better, but mechanically they're still not that great. I was chatting with him obviously about the theta ii and nu engines notorious for failing. I them asked him about the v6s and he said that they're better but they apparently will wear bearings causing a loss in oil pressure thus causing engine failure eventually. He said he had only seen this in the santa fes, which i believe use the 3.3. Has anyone ever heard of this in the genesis 3.8? What about the 3.8 GDI engine? Do you think the hyundai v6 is a good engine?

I have a 2016 Genesis 3.8 which so far has been bulletproof though have to admit it has barely 30,000 mi.on it
nothing but normal service done to it and has performed flawlessly….
guess only time will tell.lol
