I crashed my Genesis Ultimate. A rider tossed his Triumph cycle into my back door. Does anybody have a Monticito Blue donor vehicle?

June was not a good month for Genesis repair because of the added expenses to my fixed income. Property and income taxes chopped away at my bank account, while my charge card creditors demanded relief. The upholstery shop has received all the seats. The body work has been finished long ago. The parts have been itemized and documented for inspection. My wife's blue car is getting closer to home.
The CoPart car is still resting, but I'm waiting to pay the body shop for the blue one before I dive in to the details of the finishing the Grey junker. It is almost ready to drive.

The blue car still sits in the body shop's back yard, waiting for the upholstery shop to come back from vacation next week. I have missed my homecoming deadline. The body shop shared that there is another customer waiting on the upholstery shop too. The father and son shop on Blue Ridge street has a durable reputation for quality craftmanship, but they are backed up with custom and artisan work from all over south Appalachia. There are some big dollar hotrods in their shop that must be a higher priority than my two insignificant factory stock seats. I can't blame them for taking a week off, this is vacation week for lots of folks, me included. I'll find something else to do, now that I paid the first week's bills, and I'm broke again. Maybe I'll tinker on the CoPart Genesis or start filling my file cabinets with all those parts receipts.

The body shop is still waiting on the upholstery shop. The body shop locked up at 3PM today to take their combined families to Tybee Island for the next week. It appears Wifey's blue car is going to be a month behind schedule. This has been a long term learning experience.
This blue car was crashed in March, and it appears it won't be back in our driveway until August. I'm getting impatient, but Wifey is getting angry (with me, of course). I will find a different project to work on this month.

The body shop employees are back from their Savannah Beach vacation. The office manager has reported that the seats are finished, but they have not been delivered back to the shop. They also need my original salvage title to accompany my request for a rebuilt title. I might have to drive across Blood Mountain to pick the seats up so I can deliver them and the title to the shop. This is the same mountain road where the Triumph collided with my back door. I still feel uncomfortable driving on this road. (PTSD?) The state inspector must verify and acknowledge that the car is repaired before it can be painted. After his authorization, I can have the silver door painted blue. I am patiently awaiting the return of my blue Genesis. It seems like its been a long time since March.
The CoPart car project is progressing slowly. To install a front right blinker bulb, I had to remove the front frame cover, the cross beam support and the intake filter box. Since this is a canbus system, I installed the standard orange incandescent bulb. The disassembly provided the opportunity to clean under the airbox. The shredded fender liner material coated the surfaces under the filter box. The blinker is no longer hyper-flashing, so I feel like I'm making progress.

Good progress. Maybe paint the other doors silver to match? It will make it easier to find you car in a crowded parking lot.

Congrats, sounds like big progress!

No need to suffer the amber bulbs, there is a drop in white incandescent available.

Easiest Amber DRL delete possible

Well after 6+ years, one of my Turn signal / DRL bulbs finally gave up the ghost. I had ordered some white bulbs from a recommendation on this forum years ago, so after removing the one trim piece I replaced both sides. Super easy and looks great, can't remember who posted about it originally...

I still have the same feeling going through the intersection that I was T-boned in several years ago (early 2000s?), but I still go through it (very watchfully) when I need to.
