I'm not sure what your specific gripe is with the transmission. Looking at the initial post, it breaks down to 3 things: half of it complaining how bad it is with no specific issues, last half talking about RPMs, and one side comment about granny shifts. For the point about the G70 going down to 4.5k RPMs with shifts... that's really a nature of the 3.3TT power band and the low redline. The 3.3TT makes max torque around 1.3-4.5k RPMs or something, but as a result of that, it starts losing torque around the high 5k RPMs. So shifting to a bit lower RPM isn't necessarily a suboptimal thing. For the low redline point, all the redline shift examples posted have dropped the RPMs about 1.5k per shift across the board give or take some. The difference with the Giulia QV example is that its redline is >7k RPM, and actually the C43 is also shifting to around 4.5k RPMs. So I'm not sure what you're talking about with that point.
Otherwise, yeah the transmission could be better but calling it granny shifts is a bit of an exaggeration. The shifts take a bit longer than the ZF, and the torque doesn't hit in a new gear completely and instantaneously like a dual clutch. Tangentially, I also think the Sport mode programming doesn't downshift far enough when slowing down and powering out of a turn, but hopefully the facelift Sport+ mode is the solution to that. But I think these are weaknesses due to compromise of 1) the transmission being a revised carryover of the G80 transmission and 2) aiming for a smoother more luxury experience than the full M/AMG speed. I wouldn't say it ruins the whole experience, especially since the 3.3TT is so powerful down low.
