I love the smell of new R-Spec in the morning

Just picked up my new 2013 R-Spec in white. I just had to have this color. Short version of the story, bought a 2012 4.6 Tech with the brown interior last year, because the brown leather was not available in the R-Spec. When I seen the white R-Spec, i was sold. My black 4.6 had a painted grill and rear deck lip. I tried like crazy to remove the deck lip, but it was not coming off, and i was not in the mood to bring out the heat gun and fish line. So some lucky person will get a black 4.6 with some cosmetic upgrades. I'll be painting the grill (satin part) and adding a rear deck lip again. Tint will get done asap, and may change the wheels. The new Nav and controls are very different from my 12' tech pkg. Ill get some pics tomorrow.

Congratulations on your new car and I brought mine home just a few weeks ago. I've had the thought of painting the satin part of the grill white pearl to match the car; what color will you paint yours? Regardless, I hope you'll post some pics of the finished job.

And BTW, I love the smell of R-Spec morning, noon, and night!

Haven't seen them in person, but they totally changed the buttons around the DIS controls and moved some functions and added controls under the DVD slot. Also added Bluelink. The big difference also seams to be that they added 2 "menu" buttons to flank the back button. So the bottom 2 corners of the screen relate to menu options now with those new buttons.

Ive only logged 12 miles with the new car, but controls are very different. The "menu" buttons remind me of an old cell phone, and are linked to the two small "menu tabs" on the bottom of the screen. The car now has blue link, which i think (still reading the manual) can tie to my iphone (start, unlock, etc). Also, can stream music (again, i think by reading the qwik set up) from my phone which my 2012 tech could not do. Also the menu has A/V input, Juke box (64g hard drive) and a few other options. Nav has been improved, and the round control knob feels different (improvement for me). I can say i do not like how the XM is displayed in the new system, i liked last years layout for satellite radio. I don't really feel the power difference between last years 4.6L and the 5.0, but again, I've not had a chance to play with the go fast peddle yet. It is absolutely a stiffer ride, but not by much. Steering feels better, but could just be the 19" wheels/tires. I've owned a 2010 Gen Coupe track, which was traded for a 2013 Coupe R-spec earlier this year. Both those cars are MUCH stiffer then the Sedan R-Spec. I will take a pic of both R-Specs together once I make a few changes to the new one.

It looks super sexy in white. And in my opinion, leave the badges alone

How can you even consider removing these? It only increases the sexy factor x10 on this car... #cmonman
