If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Hi, I need help with locating a part number or the part itself. (2021 GV80 Prestige)

My car was valet parked and held open for me when I picked it up. When I got home, I noticed that the top chrome piece on the outside front driver’s side door handle was missing. I see it is held on by three tiny screws.
I tried to search online to find it, but no success. I think I found the entire door handle, but I only need the chrome piece.

Can anyone help me with a part number or a place to locate the part? My dealer is over an hour away, and who knows what they will charge me for it, and I really don’t want to run over there and get it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks, that's it. I can order it direct from Korea for about 180 total, but they did not supply a part number. Now that I have at least that part number, I can do some digging.

PS, the one from Korea comes in colors so you don't have to paint them like the one Hyundai sells. But I will probably only use the top trim thing anyway.

Better than $300 unpainted, so I hope that works out. Good luck to you.

Thanks, that one is black (PH3 code) in case I decide to replace the whole thing, and has free shipping from the US and had a 10 dollar coupon code. You just saved me at least 30 bucks.

EDit. I just found this one for the back door for 30 bucks. I am pretty sure the piece I need off of it is exactly the same as the one for the front door. Being the cheap person I am, I might give this a try first,

Thanks for the help everyone.
I found a video on the you showing how to remove the door handle and it is a 2 minute job. I will post the video link here as it also shows how to remove the mirror and the inside door panel. Both real easy as well. Good to know if I ever smash my mirror. (You do not need to to to remove the inside door panel to remove the outside door handle.) The inside door panel is a piece of cake to remove as it is held in by only one screw. (The chrome piece the guy removes from the inside door latch in the video does not have to be removed. He was looking for a screw there, but there is not one.)
The ebay seller wanted 155 and I offered 120. He came back with 135 and I took it. I decided to get the whole front as it is the right color and an easy install.

Thanks again.

I need to replace my handle as the trim popped off. Can you share where you got the painted handle?

The one I purchased was black already which is the color of my car. At the time I got mine, they a had a few colors other than black. Genesis sells them stock in some colors but I don't know if they have them in all colors. I got mine on eBay. Genuine Hyundai / Genesis parts for a lot less than the dealer wanted. Also, if it just the chrome colored trim piece that is broken, you can remove the chrome piece from the new handle and put it on the old handle so there will be no need to paint.
