I need help, I bought a car Genesis and I am from Saudi Arabia and in Saudi Arabia, we do not have the navigation in the car as in Europe or America.
I continued with large numbers of buyers the car and we all suffer from a lack of navigation.
And inquired of the agent and said we will contact Korea since 4 months ago.
We need a solution to this problem.
All cars competition or at least where there is Genesis Navigation.
We need to update the screen.
We are tired of the agent does not have a solution did not correspond with Korea
i asked the companies, but the solution is to remove the current screen and disable the mouse and thus become the new screen just navigation.
If they could have been any one here can help him be thankful I do not want to remove the current screen. I just want to add of navigation.

If I understand correctly, there's a navigation screen, but you don't have any maps/software integrated into it?

Ouch, looks like the middle east market has a pretty stripped down DIS version compared to us. It does have the suspension options though...

It would be in charge of Hyundai Middle East, as they decide what the market gets. Nothing really much anyone here could do, but that does really suck if that is the fully loaded Genesis.

I guess the only way to get Navigation is to buy a US market center console from Korea. Since the navagation is made by LG they would the logical company to get the maps from if there are any available. It sounds almost impossible as they designed the Genesis without nav in the middle east.


I feel bad for our Genesis community in Saudi Arabia.

Let us know of any update! My guess is to push for future nag in upcoming models and trade in!!!

Genesis is NOT sold in Europe as far as I know!

Also I noticed on other utube they have front camera split screen and NO satellite in Saudi

I could be way off here, but what about the obvious, that Hyundai does not have any satellite connections for triangulation. Strange that they would sell a Tech or Premium package without any practical use.

A good point may be true.

But I do not expect the problem is. Could there be anything without a navigation satellite communication?

In the sense that the car and carry on working without satellite communications? After a time working for the traffic update?

I ask here because the agent bad he does not answer questions. If someone can help I would be very grateful.

Abdullah,
To answer your question, there can be no navigation system without access to the navigation satellite system. All navigation systems require this satellite access. If other brands/makers of autos in Saudi Arabia offer satellite navigation, then you know that satellite navigation exists, but that does not mean it is available to your Genesis.
A "satellite radio" which receives voice broadcasts and music from satellites does not use the navigation satellites. There are special satellites for satellite radio.
Unless Hyundai/Genesis first offered the Genesis in Saudi Arabia with navigation, it is unavailable. But check with dealers in Dubai. If a Genesis is offered there with navigation, then you might be able to buy a Genesis with navigation in Dubai.
As for trying to fit a Hyundai navigation system in your present car I do not think it can be done by anyone other than the Hyundai factory in Korea. The reason I say this is that the radio/navigation system is much more than the screen you already have. The radio controls many other functions in your auto. You would have to reengineer your radio's wiring, and no wiring diagram is available for the radio from Hyundai.
My understanding is that Dubai is probably the best place to seek further advice. Dubai has all the exotic auto dealerships and they frequently modify auto electronics. If it cannot be done in Dubai, then it is truly impossible.

That will not help you either as the Genesis Sedan sold in the U.S. only has mapping software for the U.S. due to the available mapping software and satellites. I do not believe this feature is even available in Saudi Arabia or the option to install a nav unit that will actually work.

Tell you what, Ill trade you my maps for your buttons and we will call it even. My $200 Garmin does better!

You're better off buying a Garmin, unless someone at the "locat markets" has a fix. Since you are in Saudi, what are gas prices these days???
