i need help (sowtware update for genesis 2015 base)

hello guys, i need your help. i purchased genesis 2015 years base in usa, and deliver in ukraine, and used it here. and my local deler cant upgrade my radio to last software.
I try register on myhyundai, but this car alredy registeret, and i cant provide new title ans social cecuity number((
maby some one have this software or can help me with link to download it...

but if you have the 9.2" GPS with the Jog Dial (Genesis Ultimate) you won't get carplay or android auto, as the hardware is not compatible.


only the base unit 8" touch only GPS from 2015-2017 is compatible with the software update.

I have only screen. have not keys to control
145 dollars for software update!

Maybe someone have just update the firmware, I do not need to update the navigation, it does not work in Ukraine)

doesn't work like that, the firmware is part of the map update system, the free update is no longer available.

many have asked for it on this forum, it appears no members kept the download files, at least none have come forward to offer it.

no idea, contact the seller and find out what version it is, map version NA.11.47.15.XXX is the first version with Carplay/AA also known as Version 12.5

The experience i had was when yoh plug play the card , it does not invoke the actual upgrade process and might not upgade firmware .

For me i see just the map version changed wheb i change the cards . Other stuff like the ibox ver etc were same .

is yours an ultimate or regular? the SD I sent was for the Ultimate/Sport, if you have the regular, than yeah it would not update as the firmware for your model isn't on that SD.

$145 to get android auto and car play alone is a good deal in my opinion. In fact, I am jealous because I can't get that for any amount of money in my 2016 ultimate!

Wow what a hassle. For the 2018 it is all on the SD and it all installs when you insert the SD.

Did you download the update? I don't recall needing the USB when I had my 2015.

I copied the sd to a 16 gig USB stick. The 2015 install instructions clearly state the a USB stick may be necessary if the update button is grayed out, which it was for me.
Here is a quote from the install instructions. It may apply to early 2015 builds and my maps and sw were original, never updated.

"NOTE: (2015 Model) *If “UPDATE” button is gray, insert USB in USB Slot"
