  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm thinking of buying an IPhone 4 but I want to get some feedback about how well it works with the Bluetooth system. Thanks for any comments or recommendations of phones.

Question?? It appears that each time I start the car, I have to select the phone in the menu. Am I missing something??

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
My iPhone 4 works great and the BT automatically connects at startup. Note that I have the Premium package, so it also streams audio. Technology package cars do not stream audio.

I had a 4 and recently upgraded to the 4S and haven't had any issues. I too have the Tech package - all Tech Packages also get Premium package. Pairing on both phones took only a few seconds and it connects without fail everytime I start the car.

Found this in the manual:

Connecting a mobile phone
After the system is switched on, it automatically attempts to
reconnect with the last mobile phone connected. The following
conditions must be met for this:
The mobile phone is switched on and is within the system
reception range.
The mobile phone is still paired with the system.
Bluetooth® is activated on the mobile phone.
In the Settings menu, BT Autoconnection is
activated = .

Might want to check to see if yours is checked.

I have a iphone 4s with both packages on my 2012 Genesis 3.8. Salesman paired it for me and I have not had a single issue.

Thank you shawn 33 and bmbutler. My wife is off to get her Iphone.
