  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Couple of days ago I noticed a vibration and low rumble as if the car is about to turn off while I was at a red light in my 2009 3.8 Sedan (72k miles). I noticed that the RPM was about 500 at 1st gear. The A/C was blasting cold air almost at full force so I immediately turned it off and on reflex put my foot gently on gas from brake and the vibration seemed to go away. The whole thing must have happened in a couple of seconds. From then on I have been noticing the idle RPM and the car idles at about 750 in Park and falls down to 500 in D while stopped. I must have felt the vibration at least once more after that but I am not sure. Have any of you felt the same and can fellow first gen sedan owners share their idle RPM in D? Thank you!
