  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

If not Genesis,....what vehicle would have you picked/did pick over Genesis??

I really do love the way the Lexus IS350 F Sport awd looks.
But, they really need to up the power and torque on that bad boy. The interior could use a refresh as well.

My ‘25 Tucson Limited HEV has been super and contains most the features I need. Good luck finding lane follow in any non-Genesis/Hyundai vehicles. Still, I will soon be looking closely at a ‘26 GV70 2.5 Sports Prestige for the massaging seat feature.
I dood it. Now driving a ‘26 GV70 3.5 Sports Prestige with massaging seat. Heaven on the butt.

Maybe the upcoming Rivian R2, or a Lucid (smallish SUV or sedan).

That's awesome man. Congrats.

Any photos of the exterior and interior?

As the title states,....
What vehicle would you be interested in, if you didn't purchase a Genesis?
While Genesis makes a compelling product. its Achille's heal continues to be challenges with the ownership experience as servicing a Genesis falls far short of other luxury brands. I would recommend a Lexus vehicle due to the high quality of their products, strong resale values, the company standing behind their product and addressing known quality issues through their goodwill policies (Genesis is cheap in this area), A strong dealer network that provides a great service experience. I am speaking from personal experience.

All great points, but if you buy a Lexus you are stuck with driving it.

Ended up back in a BWM, M850i. Missed the sound of the V8. The G70 3.3t V6 didn't have character, even with the rear mufflers replaced with straight pipes.

Now that is the only car I would purchase to meet and exceed my needs. When possible please post some photos of this.

I really wished that Genesis would make a Coupe, but the coupe is long gone for the brand - Wishful thinking, but take the G70, reshape into a coupe and make smaller and lighter and MORE performance focused and I would have been a buyer. Since the car I'm describing doesn't exist for South Korea, I bought a Lexus RC F instead.

Very nice choice.

I cross shopped a few sporty compact luxury SUVs. The X3 made the strongest case due to the powertrain and sporty ride. I didn’t love the exterior. Interior was fine. I just loved the gv70 looks in and out more and the ride is pretty good still. It’s just the best all around package.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Would have either been a Volvo V90 Inscription or Lincoln Aviator Black Label.

Saw my very first Kayalami Green Audi RS3 yesterday. I think it was a 2024.
SMOKING HOT!! That would definitely be on the list, but no remote start is a hard pass for me, unfortunately. What a gorgeous car with the performance to match.

I currently own an Audi Q7 S-Line and I’m looking to replace it by the end of the year. I test drove a GV70 Sport Prestige yesterday and was impressed with the fit, finish and handling. Unfortunately the salesman was along for the ride, so I did not have the opportunity to thoroughly get into it. I’m also looking at the Macan S and GTS and hoping to test drive one in the coming weeks. I was also interested in the Volvo XC60 Polestar, but Volvo forum discussion scared me off; electrical, mechanical issues, etc.

On my third Genesis since September 2021 so here’s what fit in between:

2021 BMW 430ix traded it September 2021 for 2022 GV70 3.5 Sport Advance

Wife traded 2022 Padisade Limited in May 2023 for 2023 Nautilus Black Label

Traded 2022 GV70 for G80 2.5 Sport Prestige December 2023

Traded G80 for 2024 Acura MDX Advanced September 2024 (wanted a Aviator Black Label but they were under no sell recall)

Traded MDX for 2023 Aviator Black Label March of 2024 ($10 k discount) gave it to my wife and took the Nautilus for work. I drive a lot and keeping miles off Aviator.

Traded 2023 Nautilus February 2025 for my third Genesis, GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige when I saw what the “dashboard” was going to look like with the 27” rectangle in 2026.

Traded 2023 Aviator September 2025 for 2025 Aviator Black Label Special Edition (%0 financing, trade $3k over expectation, $7,250 off sticker, to good to pass up.)

Deep breath…now we are set with our soon to be retirement vehicles. 😁

@vin0770

How did you guys like the Lincolns?
They both look really nice from what I see out on the roads.

Just bought a BMW X7 M60i and sold my GV80. MY GV80 Prestige was a great car but after 4 1/2 years with my GV80 it was time to try something else. As a comparison the GV80 tech is more user friendly and drives more like a luxury vehicle (think big Cadillac) whereas my X7 M60i drives like a refined sports car (think Porsche). I am happy with both vehicle decisions I made.

Love the Lincoln’s they’ve really been pretty good, maybe just lucky. Genesis spoiled me as none of the three I’ve had needed any trips to the dealership for warranty work. The Nautilus and Aviator had motors in the front seat leg extenders go out.

The Aviator (my favorite car we’ve owned) has the magic combination of engine and transmission, 400 hp 3.0 liter twin turbo, 10 speed transmission that’s butter, high quality design and components looks and feels very upscale. 30 way adjustable seats, 28 speaker sound system. Wife’s ride she loves it and it’s got everything on it like the Prestige package on the GV70. The Nautilus maybe had the best engine bang for the buck with a 2.7 liter twin turbo 335 hp and got good highway mpg. But it was AWD front wheel drive bias so that sucked. Give me AWD rear wheel bias all day long.

Just got this one:

That's awesome. I always thought they were very nice, but wanted to hear from an actual owner.

Congrats and enjoy.
