If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After driving Genesis Coupe for a year, I started to get an error, "BAKVoiceHandler.exe illegal operation" seen on the navigation screen.
The local Hyundai service replaced the entire navigation system.
The same problem occurred in a month.
They replaced again (2nd time). But this time, the bluetooth phone was not working. They replaced again (3rd time now), yesterday.
I got the same, original error in an hour.
So, after 3 replacements with 4 Navi units, still the same problem.
Now I start to wonder how this can happen only to me,
and there must be many suffering from the same problem.
Anyone? Any idea? -thanks.

It's gotta be one of the systems that the NAVI unit is interfacing with that's causing the issue. I can't believe your service guy is still pulling and replacing the NAVI unit over and over and getting the same result. That's like your electrician constantly replacing your light bulb when the problem is in the wiring. If you've got another Hyundai dealer in the area, I recommend you try their service guy. Who was it that said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result?

Not sure where you are locted, but you might try the service rep at the appropriate Hyundai Regional Office for help with this problem.

The system can detect if the driver has been drinking:eek:

thank you for the reply. Your point may be logically correct.
But it would be more useful only if you specify what is "the system that the NAVI unit is interfercing." As I understand, the Hyundai service replaced the entire NAVI system which I take already included most interfaces. Also each time, they contacted the national Hyundai service center. I am not defending the local service, just too perplexed!
Thank you again.

Thank you again.

Based on the error message you posted, it appears that there could be an issue with the interface to the voice command module.

My question is whether "the voice command module" is a part of the NAVI system.
If yes, it was already replaced many times whenever the entire NAVI system was replaced.
If not, then the local Hyundai serviceman is really doing a bad job!
