  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Illuminated door sill plates

my Genesis came with them :-P

Another option that should've been on all Ultimates.

my Genesis came with them :-P

mine has heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel :-P. Seriously, though, I can live without light up sill plates that I only see when I open the doors at night - If they had to keep costs down, this is a really minor concession...

Agreed rather have heated rear seats.

Front has them and the rear are non illuminated.

Confirmed, same as the Canadian model however in Canada all trims get the front lit door sill plates as well as fog lights. :p

You know they're available as an accessory now...not that big of a deal, honestly. Now fog lights...that's another story!

Where are they listed as an accessory? If you build an Ultimate 3.8 on the Hyundai site, no accessory is listed for Door Sill Plates.

I agree, they aren't that big of a deal, but why not have them if you want them. I'd just prefer that the dealer puts them in or someone who me a wiring harness to snap them into. Not really feeling the splicing of wires in my near future.

They're listed on the official Hyundai Accessories site and on several dealer websites now. It was a late add accessory.

I added them to my 2012 and loved them. I always kept the main dome light off. At night all you could see was the blue door sill lighting when I opened the door. I would seriously consider adding this to my 2015G.

The link above leads me to a log in page but I don't have a log in. Is there any way to view the illuminate sills and check a price?

How do you login or create a login?

Not sure what that happened to that link - you can access the accessories page through myhyundai.com after you log in there (using Bluelink login)

Yeah, strange that it forces a login when using the link. Anyhow, it's also available via the Hyundaiusa.com site and going all the way to the bottom.

Oddly, prices aren't listed, but my local Hyundai dealers (Huffines Hyundai of McKinney and Huffines Hyundai of Plano) have their prices listed on their site, in case anyone wants to check those out for a price range.

I like the illuminated sills on my 2011, but $345 as an accessory on the 2015 seems a bit stiff. The price comes from the Huffines Hyundai website.

I got just installed by dealer don't know how much they charge was a due bill :)
