  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm just going to leave this here....

You getting a tune one the sedan this year?

I would suspect BTR would have crack the R-Spec ECU first before that would be possible.

Back to the subject at hand, if this mod. would break the 400hp barrier on the 4.6? That will be rather bad, as this will force my hand to do a car swap with the Mrs. and just hope she does not get any more speeding tickets...;)

Unless of course, BTR pull a rabbit out of the hat, crack the 5.0 ECU and manage to install my loaner ECU on the R-Spec in the NC event...:)

I think it will break 400 easy. I dyno'd 286whp and 291wtq today on stock tune. That whp measurement was at 6200rpm when the trans shifted and the graph was still climbing. If I can run her out to true red line on the dyno I think the true peak figure is higher.

At 6 PSI, looking at 530 HP at the engine.

Indeed! I am tickled with excitement....

However, with more than 25% power increase, I do hope the rest of drivetrain (the ZF transmission, axle etc) would be up to the task of delivering that extra power to the ground without too much fanfare....

Please keep us updated with the overall project progress.

That should be no issue, I would add an external transmission cooler (in addition to the factory one built into the radiator) to ensure fluid temperature stays within nominal ranges.

A number of other vehicles use the 6HP26, including the Jaguar XKR with it's 510 BHP / 461 ft-lbs supercharged V8, and there are XKR owners that have turned up the boost and added other mods, tune, to add further power on top of that with no issue. Ford also uses a variant of the 6HP26 in the SVT Raptor.

Here is the details of Snoopy Panda's new project:

Cliffnotes for those who closed it when they saw it was a 22 minute video:

- SP has purchased a red 2009 Genesis 4.6

- SP is swapping the 4.6 Tau into the company car, Genesis Coupe

- This will be the 3rd Tau swapped Genesis Coupe, but will be the only one that is truly driveable and will have a kit for sale for the public to do the same

- The previous two, RMR's 4.6 rear-engined Coupe and RMR/Hyundai's 5.0 front-engine Coupe, had serious issues, the rear-engined Coupe barely made stock horsepower and now in the hands of a private collector has broken down. The RMR/Hyundai 5.0 Coupe while did start and move, it was not actually driveable. Both had manuals and this a large part of the issue.

- The goal is to have the swap done in 6 months and ready for SEMA 2016.

- However this is not all Coupe-based. The TCU (Transmission Control Unit) will be cracked and the transmission will be tuned for both the 6HP26 (Our transmission) and 6HP19 (BK1 Coupe 3.8 transmission).

- The supercharger kit will be developed and will be available for both the Sedan and the 4.6 Coupe swap. Also looking into adapting the kit to the 5.0 GDI as well. You guys can thank Tailwalker for his tenacious goal of getting forced induction to our platform and helping us achieve this goal.

- The supercharger and 4.6 Coupe swap will be designed and tested, repeatedly on dynos, to ensure a quality, reliable product.

- There will also be some suspension development for the Sedan to give a more sporty feel, as well as other Sedan specific modifications.

- Thanks to all those supporting the team at Snoopy Panda and here's to a spectacular 2016!

-- Oh, and to those who asked if the hood closed, yes my hood closed, the final product should fit just a smidge lower than that for even further hood clearance.

let BTRcc unlock computer, I'll have a supercharge 5.0 months later

I keep telling myself I will wait like a good boy and not swap cars. One of my favourite cars I adore is the CTS-V with a manual transmission. Hnnnnngggg. I can wait.
