  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm an active member at GMinsidenews- and I drive a 2007 Silverado 4x4. I was referred by a member to this website.

My parents recently purchased a red Hyundai Genesis 3.8 with the premium package. I don't know where the found out about that car, but when asked, I couldn't think of a better competitor for the price. It's essentially a Lexus LS for half the price. They considered a Buick Lucerne, and I recommended a Lexus ES 350 and a Lincoln MKS.

I'll be back home for Thanksgiving and I look forward to submitting my full review of this car.

:welcome: Review! I can assist here, (as I am sure many other owners can), this car is awesome! I have owned two BMWs, 2 Lexus', several Hondas, one Toyota and Mazda a piece, and I can say that this car is as good as or better than any car I have owned. When shopping, I test drove and studied the Acura RL, the brand new TL, (both very good cars), an Infinity M35, Lexus GS, and a BMW 3 & 5 series, Mercedes C & E class, Jaguar XF and a Cadillac CTS DI. I must say the Genesis won hands down. Each of the other competitors shined in their own right, however when looking at the total package, including price, nothing compared with the Genesis. I am not the only one who feels this way, all of the major car magazines have the said the same thing in their reviews.

Interesting thing, even the Acura website noted the advantages the Hyundai Genesis has over the new RL. Even in resale value. I am sure the sales person did not know that the Genesis was going to cost less, ($10,000), offer as much or more in several areas, and be rated higher than the RL in resale value. The General Mgr. tried to downplay the information, however if that was to be downplayed, should the same be said about everything on the site. It was after all Acura's site. He said that, though Hyundai was making good cars, he did say that fit and finish isn't as good as Acura, (Honda). 'That's funny', I thought, 'isn't this the same thing BMW and Mercedes said about Honda and Toyota about 20 years ago when those two car companies were coming out with Acura and Lexus? He should have known better.

At any rate, I am sure when you drive it for yourself; you will come to the same conclusion.
