I kind of think thats cool! It sounds like it'll be an aggregate of unidentifiable user data, so no real security issues. However, if this actually leads to some cool developments, I'm all for it. I'm sure there will be an opt out option as well.

It seems like it's exclusive to SK though, or at least that's where the initial run will be.

Its for people that don't get enough junk email and telemarketers. We're already tracked more than we think. Just Google your name or home phone number and it is amazing what you can find out.

They make this sound like it is a good thing. It certainly is not.

If it's offered outside of KDM it'll be opt in....GDPR in Europe and California, etc. will demand that it is. And manufactures adopt as few business models as possible.

GM has been doing this for years with their OnStar system. Go buy a new GM product and see what happens if you don't activate OnStar.
