I'm really beginning to enjoy this

I've gotten a ton of people riding my arse - checking out the car with the Genesis wing on the back

had a few looks from the BMW and Merc crowd

Which doesn't bother me - I know the game

but they tailgate just the same

Right foot down on pedal

and a small speck appears in my rear view mirror - I am really enjoying this car ( even with the transmission quirks )

Had the opportunity to go up against a new 550i

and while I didn't pull on him - he didn't pull on me either

even had a friendly ride with a C63 AMG

guy was real cool -

Pleasure to run with the heavy hitters

Did I mention - I'm really beginning to enjoy this

...when you were up against a new 550i, was this from a standing start or on the highway? If from a standing start, was the stability control disengaged? I found that when it is disengaged, it is faster in 1st gear...

It was from a roll

and YES - if you turn off the traction control - yo can get a great launch

Awesome! Love to hear these stories. The other day an Acura RDX (I know, really?) was wanting to race me. I had the kids in the car and was about to turn off the road so I could not play. What he did not realize was that had I simply put the pedal down I would have unleashed the hounds of hell on him!

My wife was driving the car a week or two previous and there was a very annoying driver who would not get out of her blind-spot. So she, as she describes it, "Gently pushed the pedal down a bit and said 'Buh-bye'" I love that woman and I love this car (in that order!).

I bet that 550i driver was VERY impressed. This car is definitely on my list of possibilities to replace my current vehicle in a year or two...
