  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2014 Genesis Sedan R-Spec. For background, I'm not subscribed to Sirus or Hyundai Bluelink. Since around new years I've noticed the infotainment system is always showing no reception, no matter where I drive. I'm trying to figure out if this is a new issue with the car, or if something changed externally (wireless provider, etc.) or perhaps weather related since we've had a major storm come through the area around the same time. Since I don't use it, it's not a big deal - it's more of a curiosity.

Verizon shut down 3G service on Jan1. You are seeing the result. Your modem would have been no better than 3G capable.

Ah, that makes sense. It's crazy to think how car features can become obsolete after only 8 years these days. :cautious:

Vent: I've always hated how Hyundai locked the nav features behind a Sirus subscription and paid upgrades (map software). I had a Volvo S60 rental before buying the Genesis in 2014 and that infotainment system blew the Genesis' out of the water. Especially that you could use your phone data instead of a subscription, so nav traffic and updates work out of the box.

Wait, so that means that people with Hyundai Bluelink lose the remote/mobile phone functionality and that effectively becomes useless? That's kinda crazy!
