  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Input needed...price for Dealer Demo...

I am not a leasing expert, but that sort of makes sense to me. All cars have some mileage on them when leased, and you don't credit for them if you go over the allotted amount. However, the dealer should be able to make up for that by lowering the price on which the lease is based upon.

I'm not an expert by any means either, but I know my way through a lease. Leasing a demo is not something I'm terribly well versed with. In my case, what the dealer was discounting the Genesis by was not enough for it to make sense.

I checked out the dealer demo 5.0 Ultimate....with 5900 miles on it; it did not drive as smoothly as new one's i have test driven, also pulled terribly to one side and the dealer rep said that the road is tilted :-); so will pass on it. BTW, i found a 90 day check list status for early April in the glove compartment...showing that battery is OK but is low, and the charging system should be checked...and running battery low may damage it; i asked the sales manager, and he indicated that these large cars suck lot of battery :-)
Also, this guy kept saying that it was exclusively driven by the owner, but had Zero documentation to prove it (said that he can send me an email stating that :-).

BTW, dealer staff indicated that Hyundai Finance would lease vehicles only under 6K miles; and that over 6K cannot be lease, and must be sold. Also, said that the lease miles are in addition to what is already on the demo today...they did take a bit off of the normal residual (something like a few hundred buck; normal for stock new was 30216; for the demo one he indicated something like 298xx. I did not pay attention, as i did not like the car).

Am leaning towards a new 3.8 RWD w/ Ultimate...seems some decent lease deals on tap. Will keep the community updated.

Thanks

So what? He is still lying. I have been on this forum for more than 6 years and I recall about 50 posters on this forum saying that a salesman claimed that the demo they were looking at was only driven by the GM of the dealership. There are many lies that salesman learn to tell, but apparently this one is numero uno for car salesman.

BTW, GM's also lie, so I don't care how many emails he produces.

Surprised they touched the residual - that is hard set by Hyundai and normally not allowed to be changed.
