  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Installed the UR strut tower brace on the 5.0 today.

Yeah, I've been driving since 15. So, 32 years driving now. Guess I've become more critical in my older years. But, I do enjoy going to Austin. They have a toll road that has an 85mph speed limit. 90 doesn't phase the Genesis.
Truth... @90+mph through West Texas feels completely "normal" w/ my 5.0.

Guys... Genesis are for comfort. Hellkittens are for doughnuts.

Managed to get the UR strut brace to fit on the 5.0
Had to modify the stock intake tubes a little (took that ugly Hyundai shell cover off)
The UR brace combined with the UR rear sway bar made a big difference in the handling of the car. Steering feels tighter, very little body roll around corners now, and the car just feels overall more planted and not floaty like before.

Hey can you tell me
1. Where you bought them from for best price
2. If the install for both front and rear where relatively simple with no hard modifications to void warranty.

I have a 2018 5.0 ultimate and really want to improve my handling thanks

The rear sway bar made the biggest difference and didn’t require any modifications, its a direct swap from the factory sway bar.

No idea if it voids warranty though so keep that in mind.

100%. Thats why I didn’t mess with the suspension like lowering it or putting stiffer springs etc. i just swapped out wimpy pot metal factory sway bar with some real metal and put in a true strut brace.

None of these mods negatively effected the comfort of the ride, Still rides like factory comfort wise except now it doesn’t feel like a slinky on wheels when I’m driving more spirited around curvy roads lol

Alright thanks I'll start with that and see hiw it goes

With a nice set of performance tires, the Genesis can be a nice canyon carver. Most don't know that Lotus tuned the suspension with ultra high performance tires in mind.
