Interior Wood Colors

Correct me if I am wrong but this is what I see

Hyundai offers 4 interior colours

Black leather, burl wood style brown wood

Beige leather, burl wood style brown wood

Gray leather, burl wood style brown wood

Ivory leather, black raised grain wood.

Too bad they did not offer black on black as that would have been killer IMHO.

Well I certainly cannot see it. All black interiors I choose are always with the brown coloured wood and not the raised grain black wood which IMHO is stunning.

Noticed also you need to go all the way up to the ultimate package if you want raised grain, mat finished real wood and aluminum finish or else you get plasti-wood and plasti-alum

I have yet to see on any picture the mat finished brown wood colour as all seem to be glossy plasti-wood.

The web site dos not show the trim colors very well and the visualization of the selected combo, which is the only way to see them, does not show well.

I agree, not my cup of tea. Several reviewers have also noted that it is not the most flattering choice. Have to see in person - a darker wood would look best in the light interior.

Guess you can't argue taste. One thing which sucks for some and a down grade from the previous real leather on all versions is you need to go ultimate package or you end up with really cheap looking plastiwood which I hate in any car I have ever seen. Kinda makes it look economy car interior. Will reserve judgement until I see in person. Who knows, maybe they came up with something decent looking for artificial wood.

Yes, Hyundai is really playing a shell game with the dash material. Many buyers will get stuck with Xeroxed plastic wood when they thought real wood was in the pipeline to replace the current, very popular, leather dashes.

Page 15 of the brochure has all the color combinations.

Wish the MONTECITO BLUE offered a black interior. I'm really liking that color, the Empire State Gray and the Pamplona Red.
