Intermintent Rear Back-up Camera

2012 4.6 with about 25k. Third time the back up camera has flickered and then just shown the guide lines. A slam of the trunk has restored the camera but this is obviously not a permanent fix.

Anyone else had this problem?

Is this an easy fix for the dealer?

It's an easy fix, and a relatively common problem. Make sure you get a phone video of it happening to demonstrate the dealer in case you get the "Could not reproduce" response.

I had this problem, and took a video of it and took it to the dealer so that they couldn't say it "was working". I got a new camera and haven't had problems since. It's been about a year now.

Had the same issue.

Took it to my dealer and they replaced it no questions asked.

It started a couple of days ago. Black background with colored lines, happening about 1 out of 5 times I back up.

New camera installed at 26K routine service along with Dot 4 brake fluid replacement.

What is the warranty on the camera? I'm afraid at 38K miles I'm out of warranty.
