  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My heart says go for one; my head says don't be so silly. It would be a private purchase with no employment assistance
I've a perfectly good 8 year old low mileage, economical ICE - UK Golf MkVII Bluemotion Match 1.0TSI with a gorgeous two tone light, bright leather interior matching the original metallic red paint and light grey interior. But it would be good to have a bit more boot space. Should anything catastrophic happen to the car, I'd be getting an EV. I've studied quite a few EVs but a coalmine interior is a no no - which rules out most. GV60 ticks all the boxes - size, interior, range, charging rate and seems to technically suit my requirements - park with EPB off in Alps to stop pads freezing on or rusting on, lay up under cover for a few months in summer, isolate HV battery, remove 12v battery etc etc.
A quandry!!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. There's lot of reading you can do to help make your decision about moving to a Genesis GV60. Are you seeing many Genesis vehicles in the United Kingdom?

Thanks. Can't say I've seen any. First will be a test drive next week. I wondered how "white" the white interior is? or is there a hint of grey in it?

That I'm not certain about, but try asking in the GV60 section as that's where the owners are.
