  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Not yet an owner but current 07 Camry is getting high in miles. Went from Audi A6 to Camry SE and now want some comfort and luxury with just a touch of sport. Looking to get a used 09 or 10 - V6 w premium pckg or tech pckg. Will keep watch in the south Jersey to Philly area.

Good evening John;

Welcome aboard! I purchased a 2010 3.8 w premium package 3 months back and am thrilled with the car. As you will see in this forum, the Genny is not without its issues (like any Brand.....luxury or not), but appears they are more evident in the tech package. After much research/due diligence that is why I selected the premium trim. So far so good. ;)

My wife and I prefer firm/sport ride in a car. We had an Acura TSX and still have a BMW Z3 2.8. You should drive the Genesis thoroughly on all types of roads. The ride is firm. The car is more of a drivers car than lux for passengers.

The Genesis ride is more BMW than Lexus. Soft quite ride on highways, turns to a little harsh on pot hole bumpy roads. But that's where the BMW Genesis comparison ends from a riding perspective.

The Genesis may be a sharp knife in the turns while the BMW is a scalpel. I've has several 540 BMW's they truly are the ultimate driving machine IMHO. BUT... when you consider the $60K price tag to a fully equipped 540 the Genesis wins hands down for me. Not to mention the lousy resale 540s have had... the last one I lost $40K on a 4 year old one.

I've got 2 Hyundai's, an '08 Azera and an '11Gen 4.6... you can't beat these cars for bang for the buck.
