  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just picked up my 2015 Genesis 5.0 a few month ago and decided to join the forum. Looking forward to interacting with you all on such a unique and wonderful ride.

welcome

Thanks. So far the only the only mod is a rear spoiler. Feeling out my local Hyundai dealer before I explore other mods. I'd like to do lowering springs next.

nice...i was really thinking about getting the truck spoiler...did you get it from ebay? and how do you like the looks of it?

I tried to look up some pics but there really arent any out there except some close ups...you mind taking a couple more from different angles and farther away?

also you are lucky that you have black as that and white are the only 2 colors that come pre painted...all the other colors you have to get it painted locally.

There is two sets of lowering springs available right now from ARK performance; GT-F and GT-S type.
With GT-F you'll get front drop .5'' and rear .75''

GT-S is more aggressive - front 1.75'' and rear 1,25'' ....and with the front that low, you will rub badly on front fenders. Believe me, been there done that. Unless you don't care if going on/off any driveway faster than one mile per hour!

I switched to "F" type, now it feels and drives much better.

I have aftermarket wheels 20x9 et35 front and 20x10.5 et45 rear.

I can post some pictures of my car sitting on both springs, so you could see the difference.

Thanks. I really like the look and fitment. I did get it from Ebay painted and with the 3M pre-installed. I'll take a few more pics and post it.

Thanks for the info and heads up on the GT-S. How is the ride after you installed them? Are the OEM shocks able to handle the new spring rate? Better handling I assume? Where did you order yours? Thanks again.

On F type, the handling is little bit better than on OEM springs, you can notice that when cornering hard (mind you, I have wider rims and summer high performance tyres) and with this "minor" drop, I think shocks/struts will handle it just fine.
The ride quality is still smooth, almost like driving on stuck suspension.

Those F type aren't available on their website yet, but if you call them, they might sell you a new set. I was the first one to test them out for them.

Here is link, ask for Mike, he is alright....tell him Darek from Chicago sent you :D http://www.arkperformance.com/category-s/31.htm

Top one is on GT-S and lower on GT-F

Thanks again for all of the info. Your ride looks great.

Guessing from your other pictures you are coming from a tl? If so how do you like the genesis over the tl?

Other pictures? What pics are you referring to?

But I did have a 2009 TL that I put springs, intake, and exhaust. I really liked my TL I only wish I had the SH-AWD one for the additional power and AWD. Only reason I let it go was because I got a great deal on my 335i convertible. When comparing my TL to my Genesis I definitely like my Genesis better. From the 420 HP V8 to the RWD and everything else. The Genesis has more room of course too. But to be fair to my TL the Genesis is in a different class so really not apples to apples. I would still buy a TL though.

Welcome aboard! Thank you for signing up! And thanks for the pictures...

Your pictures are directly linked to your photobucket with the pics of the Hondas and Acuras.

Thanks makes sense. I apologize for my lack of how Photobucket works.

No worries - I didn't either until I clicked on the image. Good thing they were clean pics in there :D
