  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just FYI...
I tried the 32GB iPad connected to the iPod connector in my car. It will charge the iPad, but no audio or other access is available.

I also tried just connecting it via the USB port and that doesn't work either. The iPad dings the whole time the unit is scanning for devices.

Didn't spend much time trying to make it work. The fact that it charges is nice. The iPad takes the place of any other type of entertainment system for the rear seat passengers I was considering.

good idea. could you hook up the iPad headphones output to the input for the Genesis audio system?

Did you try starting the iPod on the ipad first, then connecting the cable? Obviously video won't work in a moving car, but I'm surprised about audio.
Have you tried Pandora?

Yes, that thought occurred to me and I tried with the iPod running also, but no joy. The iPad is not recognized thought the iPod connector in any way.

JDC, I haven't tried just the audio-in jack yet. I will try that later today, I assume that will work, good suggestion. Overall, I love the iPad and it's cheaper than any special headrest video, it's portable, and does so much more. I'm looking forward to some enterprising inventor making a holder for the iPad that attaches to the back of the car seat/headrest.
