  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Since getting my new iPhone Friday, I've been playing around to see if I could get Siri working through over Bluetooth in the car. There were two challenges:

1. Activating Siri: I haven't found any way to do this using the steering wheel or any other Genesis controls. Pressing the middle "button" on the headphone cord for one second activated Siri, but the audio routed through the earbuds (as in the video on Apple's web site). The best I could do was press the home button on the iPhone, not too bad with the iPhone in my pocket.

2. Using Siri: This sort of worked. Siri's audio came through the car's speakers. I couldn't tell if my voice was going through the iPhone's or the car's mike, but Siri accepted my voice commands.

When I used Siri, the Genesis acted as if I was making a call to my own cell phone. A bit odd, but OK. (I've read similar comments from people using Siri with the Ford Sync system.)

Anyone here have more success? I'd love to use Siri while driving. Some of it is gimmicky, but it's helpful to ask it when my first appointment is and hear it say "8:30" or send texts without typing.

Does your phone connect with the iPod cable? Mine does not. When I connect with the cable absolutely nothing happens no error messages like with the iPhone 3. Nothing what so ever. I have not tried Siri through the blue tooth but my guess is you would have to push the home button on the phone itself.
