  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My Android cellphone contract is up. I have the 2015 Genesis with Tech package. Does it make more sense to switch to Iphone as far as having more versatility with an Iphone vs a Android with the Genesis tech package or it really doesn't matter, as far as which phone is purchased.

I don't know the answer, but I assume if you switched to iPhone, you would wait about a month for the iPhone 6, or for a better deal on iPhone 5s/c. The announcement date is Sept 9th.

I planned on waiting, but forgetting about Iphone vs Android pros & cons, I was just wondering if with the tech package it made anymore sense to switch to an Iphone.

My biased opinion is for the iPhone - many car manufacturers tend to support it first and deeper, likely due to the fact it is one OS version to support. Apple CarPlay will add to that.

Unless, we get a software/firmware upgrade to support Apple Carplay or Android Auto, your best option today is an iPhone 5 or newer - the Genesis already has Apple's Siri Eyes Free built in and it works really well with a newer iPhone (and I'm not a big Apple fan at all).

You answered my question, Apple 5 or newer it will be...Thanks
