If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone know if an adapter is available for the new Apple lightning cable that comes with the new iPhone5?

If not, has anyone had any luck using the Hyundai 30 pin ipod accessory with the apple 30pin/lightning adapter?

For some reason when I simply plug the lightning adaptor straight into the USB port, the phone continually "chirps", powers up and down and doesnt connect to the audio system at all.

I have a 2012 r-spec

Thanks

I have the Apple 30-pin to lightning adapter connected to my iPhone 5 and it works well. As of late, I have noticed that I can't access some of my playlists from my DIS, but I can't immediately attribute that to the adapter.

Plugging in the lightning cord into the USB will not get you any music. Only charging.

You can entry "Apple lightning cable that comes with the new iPhone5?" this words in the "google", then you will see a lot of topic about this topic, may be they can help you, you can have a try.

In my 2010 with tech all the Iphone5 USB cable does is constantly cycle charging, not charging and when I try the USB 3.5 combo cable in conjunction with a lightning adapter that I bought from Amazon the car tells me unknown device or something or another. Not to happy but then again that is technology so.....

The Apple iPhone 5 USB cable will not work. The Hyundai iPhone cable with the 30-pin to Lightning adapter (cable or plug) will work.
