  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
There's another thread on this. Basically, some people are finding that the cable doesn't stay connected. (The pre-Lightning connectors on the iPod and iPhone are identical.)

Mine worked perfectly with my iPhone 4.

I ordered one from Amazon for less than half the OEM cost since I'm a Prime Member. Worked perfect with my iPhone 4 and now with my 5 with a 30-pin to Lightning adapter. It also has 2 squeeze buttons that you need to push to release the 30-pin from the phone. Sounds like the OEM one doesn't come with that "feature".

Could be an option if you aren't satisfied with the OEM solution.

My iPod cable does not fall out of my iPod as described by others. I wonder if Hyundai switched suppliers for the cable, or if some dealers are using a third party cable (and not the official Hyundai part)?

thanks to a message I took off the iphone cover and the ipod cable plugs in fine.

Do you have a case on your iPhone that interfares with the adaptor? I had that problem and I removed the case.

My thoughts are that Hyundai switched suppliers; my cable came straight from the parts department, and has been loose from day one. It is the "official" Hyundai cable, complete with a Hyundai part number on the bag.

The cable that came with the iPod works perfectly with engaging into the iPod. However, as we all know, this will not work with the DIS.

I also think snork has the right idea; the Factory cable does not come with the release tabs.
