  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys, I own a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 sedan with the technology package. So recently I found out that the aux port of the iPod connector isn't working. The car reads and plays USB just fine. When I connect my phone through AUX and play music, I don't hear anything. I tried like 7 different cables just to make sure it wasn't the cable. I even borrowed my friends iPod to check if the music plays through the iPod harness which didn't work either. The car reads the iPod and loads playlist but I don't hear anything when the song is playing. I have come to a conclusion that the connector in the center console is bad. Can you guys post the link to the part I'm looking for? (the part number would be good too) I tried looking but no luck. Also if someone has a knows a video or a thread on how to do this would be helpful. Thanks guys.

Hi Mark, I'm not looking for the wire adapter for iPod. I'm looking for the part which you plug that in which is located inside the center console.
I don't know if that is sold as a separate part, as opposed to only included in the whole center storage assembly. Go to a dealer parts department and they can look that info up on their computers.

Thank you Mark for your quick reply, so I did call my dealer and got the part number for it. The part number is 96120-3M000. The dealer wanted $120 plus tax here in Las Vegas. I looked it up online and found the same part from www.HyundaiOEMparts.com and they had it for about 60 bucks. I have already placed an order. I will have to find a manual on how to take the armrest to unplug the old one and put the new one now. I will update as I make progress maybe post pics.
