  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Got the iPod/Iphone cable when I picked up the car and used it once, and it was very useful, but instead of using the cable again, I realized that I could put all of my music on an 8GB thumb drive and play music through it. I used it today, and what a simple way to carry tons of music on a small USB drive, much better, IMO than using the cable.

Absolutely. Been doing it for awhile.

iPod is so 20th Century.

"iPod is so 20th Century." :) :)

Haven't tried it. How does the sound quality compare?

i use my old ipod nano, they were doing a trade in program at apple, send your old gen1 in and you get the newest gen for free. perfect size.

I have a 2010 premium that will play DVD's. Great sound with the DVD's, but I notice that music I play through my Ipod, recorded off of CD's at maximum information density (meaning the same as the original CD's) sound much better played through the Ipod than when played directly off the CD player.

My presumption is that the CD player itself is not of first quality, OR that there is some sound processing done through I-tunes to which i recorded the CD's then downloaded to the Ipod.

Hoping someone has the answer.
