  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is there a random functionality for ipod?

Also.. I have so many albums and songs on my ipod and I hit down 30 times to get to Snoop and then drill into album and then use 'back' button and then i am back at top of list ... anyone know of a workaround?

Re: IPOD questions

The answer is yes and no. There are many threads posted here that talk about this so I do not think it would be beneficial to start a new thread on this. Use the search function and I am sure you will find your answers. The scrolling function is a pain. Period. Some have mitigated it by reordering the folders and, in the case of mp3 thumb drives, have even renamed the music files themselves. Playlists are another means of reducing the scroll time. There is a difference between the tech package and non-tech package as well. Hope you find a solution that works for you.

Explore the use of Playlists. Then create one called "1 Rap" and "2 Techno" etc, etc, add your favorite songs for each genre you like and just switch between a dozen or so playlists instead of artists and albums. Much quicker and less driver involvement in music selections.l\

If you have a non-tech model; unplug the ipod from the cable, scroll to the song or artits you want, hit play, then plug it back in.

Re: IPOD questions

This was a question of mine and I had to wait until I had a Genesis to try it. ;) I plugged in my iPod Classic and iPhone and this is what I found....

If you want to shuffle songs on your iPod's playlist, press the random button on the radio. For non-tech packages, its the 2 button I believe - it also has the letters RNDM on it.

Also, the Folder button will pause the music.
