  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm having a strange issue when using an iPod in my 2015 Genesis with the Tech package...

When I initially connect my current model iPod Nano using the factory Apple Lightning cable and play a song, the progress bar and time progress normally. If I turn the car off and then back on, the song continues from it's previous spot, but the progress bar and time do not change. When that song finishes and it continues to the next song, the progress bar and time remain at zero. I have also had the song progress bar/time stop updating when I navigate away from the A/V screen and then back to it.

If I unplug the USB cable and plug it back in, it will progress normally again until I cut the car off or navigate away from the A/V screen.

Has anyone else had this issue? Have you found a fix?

Thanks so much!

It also stops the counter/progress bar when I pause and restart an audio file. (I am currently using the iPod in the car for audiobooks.).
Has anyone with a 2015 used a device with the USB port?
Thanks!

I am seeing some issues with the iPod interface as we'll.

1. I'm using the standard iPod interface cable. When I hit the iPod button it ALWAYS goes to the first song in my overall list. It should resume whatever song was playing when the cars was turned off.

2. When using a playlist the songs play normally in the playlist order but the cover art displayed on the screen never changes. Again it shows the cover art for the first song in the. Overall list.

I have used a USB thumb drive to load songs to the Juke Box and it seems to work fine.

Any help on the playlist cover art and resume last song issues would be appreciated.

on item 1: I see the same thing in my 3.8 AWD Ultimate!

on item 2: Might be that same thing I have where it jumps to a different song than it should after it finished the song it's playing (not the next on an album) but displays the graphics for the song that it really should play??? This is on that last generation Nano (non-lightening connector).

I just got the 2015 AWD Ultimate. That is the vehicle that is having the iPod issue.

Similar issue for me. Also, when I am in a playlist, the song and the album cover do not change on the display. And every time I get in the car, it plays the first song (which I used to love, and am beginning to hate). Would love to know how to correct this!

I'm having the same issue with audiobooks in my 3.8 AWD Ultimate. Every time I get in the car it plays the first song on the Ipod and it takes about 5 button presses to get back to the audiobook I was listening to. Extremely annoying.

2015 Ultimate (TX) same issue here. Ipod always restarts at first song. This is with two different ipods with two different software versions (both 50 pin cables). Come on Hyundai, need an update for this. Dan
