  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My ipod will shut down w/ over-temp protection if it gets too hot (car sitting in the sun for an extended period of time).

We were using my wife's I-pod Nano in the Genny the other day and I found that the system wouldn't acknowledge the i-pod with the Genesis cable! I then grabbed the original i-pod cable and connected to the USB port. All functions then worked! My Genesis is a 2013 R spec. The pod worked great all day. everything was on the screen. Went back to the aux/usb Hyundai cable and "no ipod connected" when I tried to bring it up! It appears that the Hyundai cable isn't working on the newer Genesis and I-pod. Happen to anyone else?

On the 2015 with ultimate tech package, the iPod is recognized and works perfect when plugging into the usb port, BUT when I turn off the car and back on, the iPod is NOT recognized. Only way it will again is unplug and replugging it in. Anyone else have this issue and resolved it?
