  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is a 6.5 inch wheel too narrow?

We picked up a 2013 V6 Premium sedan in the spring and winters tires/rims are going to be a must have item. I have been looking to find a set of OEM wheels but it seems to be nearly impossible to find a used set.

I found a set of steelies online today that I believe will fit (18 inch, 67.1 bore, 5x114.3 with a +42 offset) at a super cheap price. But these wheels are only 6.5 inches wide which is an inch narrower than the stock wheels. Will this make any difference? I found a set of winter tires which would fit the wheels are would be pretty much the same overall diameter (225/50R18.)

Will I run into any issues by running a narrower wheel?
