  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is a sticker okay under the rear view mirror?

Just picked up a 2023 Genesis GV70 and without thinking put a little UHF sticker thing under my rear view mirror that is required to open an entry gate in our community.

They told me the location to place it, after confirming it worked there I stuck it with its adhesive, but after getting out I saw that there appears to be a camera, likely for forward driving collision assist directly above it. I would think it’s out of its view, but figured I’d ask if anyone knows if it will impact any functionality. The owners manual has a generic warning not to place any stickers or tint on the windshield anywhere, but that’s not entirely realistic.

It is OK. I have a dash cam mounted there on my GV80.

I have a tollway pass right under my rear view mirror, no issues.

That's the lane departure assistance camera. The anti-collision features use radar, not a camera.
A sticker on the inside of the glass is not a problem. You'd have to put in of the outside of the glass to be able to block the camera with it. This wouldn't be good for the wipers either.

This explains why my wipers aren't working!!! Duh!

Should be OK there. I have mine to the left of the mirror at the top of the frame. My EZ Pass is same location to the right of the mirror.

Thanks everyone! Much appreciated.
