is genesis oversized car in nyc garages?

I was just wondering if the genesis gets charged the oversize parking fee inn nyc. I know its vehicle length exceeded their limit by a few inches but do the garage guys actually notice that since its so low profile compared to merc s class. anyone parked their genesis in nyc garage yet?

I park in NYC three days a week -- no problem other than the attendants insisting that it " can't be a Hyundai"-- get that at LEAST once week.

Did you park in a garage where they explicitly state oversize parking charges apply? Not every garage charge oversized parking fee.

It is the same size as a Sonata, Accord, E-Class, 5-Series, etc. No problem.

However SUVs are all hit with a surcharge.

The NYC problem, for any car is the potholes. That is why I often take my QX56 into the city.

Yeah - I've been to the city a bunch of times on business and i never pay an additional charge. They will charge extra for an SUV, so you should be good, and like skingfish said, parking attendants will ask you a lot of questions about your car. I guess they are used to parking Mercedes and BMW's that a relatively new car like Genesis piques their interest.
