  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Lately I seem to be getting pop-ups and redirects when I click on a new topic.

Using Google Chrome with Avast running.

Works fine for me. I use Firefox28.0 with Adblock Plus.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I see nothing different than usual. Firefox with AdBlock Plus.

Looking at the info of AdBlock, 17 things on this page were blocked.

I'm using the Palemoon version of Firefox with adblock plus. No ads.

It appears my link to the forum had somehow become corrupted. About a week ago there was an official looking message in the forum that "Genesisowners.com was no longer valid and "genesisowners" was correct and I should click on it.

I did and nothing in the forum appeared different, however, the pop-ups started around this time.

My laptop had GenesisOwners.com as a favorite and was running normally without pop-ups or redirects. I emailed that url to my PC, delted the old favorite and used the emailed one.

Voila, pop-ups/redirects gone.

Was there some sort of name change message?

No, your link/bookmark was not corrupted. And yes, they removed WWW from URL and it became different domain name. Here the message:

Just a quick note to let you know that the website address is no longer www.genesisowners.com but genesisowners.com (without the www). Please update your bookmarks at your earliest convenience.

When thread had link to another thread on this same forum and you clicked on that link your browser was opening that link in the new window/tab but without WWW, and you were logged out. When you are not logged in you see a lot of ads and pop-ups.
