  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Guys,
Because my car delivery was delayed one day the dealer put me in a 2015 Genny 3.8 Htrac. I have driven the new Genesis for about 100 miles town and highway conditions.
The ride on this new car seems to me lot less smoother than 2012+ generation. I am not sure why, maybe because the suspension is firmer (albeit I have tried all chassis settings) and the chassis is stiffer?
This is the second 2015 Genesis I drive in one week timeframe. The first one (R-Spec) was no better.
Do you guys feel the same or is just me?
On the upside the gadgets on this new generation are outstanding....:)

No, lots of other people have started threads with a Title called "Is it just me....?".

I am not sure what you are referring to, since there is no 2015 R-Spec. Exactly what 2012+ Genesis (I am assuming 2012-2014) are you comparing the 2015 to?

Chances are very good that the tires haven't been deflated from shipping pressures yet.

2015 R-Spec is available at all Hyundai dealers across Canada. I am not sure about south of the border...

Besides the tire pressure, your car may ride a little stiff for the first few hundred to a thousand miles as the suspension pieces get worn in a bit. The ride did improve on my R-spec after it got some mileage on it.

Should close this thread and move OP's post into 2015' Genesis dislikes. Could be the worst thread title I've ever seen

There have been posts suggesting some on the forum liked the handling aspects of the 1st generation better but unless I missed it I haven’t seen any indicating the ride was better on the 1st generation. So I think it is “Just you”.

I test drove a genesis 3.8 2015 non Htrac.. It was wonderful, it glided over bumps like they were a non event. I did not even notice some smaller pot holes. With generation one you would of really felt the jarring . IMHO it drives much smoother than generation one.
