  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2014 Ultimate with 10k miles. Bought used six months ago. I noticed the B- and C-pillars have a very scratched and matte black finish that doesn't look original. Tried to buff it out with no success. Are these black pillar surfaces supposed to be gloss black or ugly and dull? They look pretty bad IMHO.

I have a 2011 signature and the pillars are gloss black. Not sure if they changed them but I usually polish mine every few months because they tend to scratch easy and get dull from the AZ sun and they look like brand new.

I polished mine to a mirror finish with Meguiar's Polish and a Torq 22d

Mirror finish? Wow. I tried compound with a cutting pad, Meguiars polish with a polishing pad, and wax and they STILL look like crap. Far from a mirror finish. Mine's an early 2014 so maybe they used a different finish on this car than the later ones.

You have to keep pad on it with force use cutting pad w/polish or even miquires compound
