Is this normal with Sun Roof?

Hi Guys, in my sun roof when I have it complete closed I can hear perfectly clear of the outside (even birds chirping or a car drive by) however it's not leaking or anything if it rains, also I noticed hearing wind noise when driving around the sun roof area, is this normal?

Also one other thing I noticed was the black wrinkled thing that adjusts when you tilt it falls off sometime on the left side.

Anyone else experience this? Could this be why I hear a lot of wind noise at only 40 MPH?

Your sunroof needs to be fixed under warranty by the dealer. It should be silent when closed and of course nothing should every fall off.

Thank you, I just booked appointment for Monday. I wanted to make sure the noise part wasn't normal. I guess this explains why I hear wind noise a lot in that area.

I will let everyone know what happens after Monday.

no, this is not normal. i dont hear any noise through the sunroof. although some rubber weatherstripping/gasket did fall on my lap once when i opened the sunroof. no water or sound leaked through it after it being off for about 2 weeks... sorta strange i could not figure out where it belonged for the life of me so i brought it to the dealership.

Hello everyone, I have a quick question before going to the dealer tomorrow:

When I am driving, I can hear every sound (cars, etc) also when I am at a stop light. When I first purchased the car I thought I remembered it being really quiet where u cant hear anything when the doors and windows are shut. I understand road noise, but when I am not moving, I thought I remembered not hearing anything such as bird chirps, cars driving by, etc.

Can someone please confirm this? I don't want to look stupid tomorrow if this was normal. I just remembered it being so quiet or maybe I'm over thinking it. But if I can hear birds chirping and such then I think something is not sealed correctly.

Just bumping this: could someone please let me know if their sedan is quiet when the car isn't moving with no music on, etc. Do you still hear noises from outside such as birds chirping, cars driving by, etc?

No noise at all in the sunroof area.

But in the whole inside of the car in general, you don't hear cars drive by or anything? I'm trying to narrow it down to what it could be. More then likely the sun roof. Hopefully they don't try and tell me nothing is wrong when there is.
