  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey i just got this used 2019 g70 2.0 advanced.

The ISG AUTO STOP START LIGHT IS FLASHING nonstop… the engine never cuts off to save gas…

I know most people would love to ve in my position.. i just want to make sure its not a problem..

I honestly dont like the function on in ANY car.. but i want to make sure the car is good.

Any reason why it would just keep flashing and the button doesnt work? The button light stays on.. the one on the dash keeps flashing.

The flashing is irritating because it wont stop.. i hate dash lights being on for no reason

Something in the system not working to shut it down at a stop.. I'd be tempted to put a piece of tape over the flashing light and consider myself fortunate.

Sounds like a trip to the dealer to fix.

I just want to know whats going on.. if it was rigged to be turned off then fine but i wanna know its not something just messed up

These are from the Kia stinger Forum. May be same or similar as the cars are siblings.

If it is not rigged, I would I agree with EdP. Something may be wrong with the car. Bad battery, bad starter, brakes, or engine is not reaching operating temperatures.

Was the starter replaced specifically to fix the ISG issue, or was it for another problem?

The light on the dash with the letter A or the light on the ISG button by the shifter?

Just a piece of information for your troubleshooting. I "rigged" mine with a resistor. Nothing flashes on the dash. The light on the button just stays lit at all times (when the car is on).

For anyone interested, it's the same resistor that you'd use in the Stinger, but different pins.
