  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all
I have an odd issue with my 2016 Genesis, when playing music it randomly only plays on the rear speaker for a second or two then plays as normal on the rest, have tried this with jukebox radio and cd just in case it was the actual music itself but it does this on all formats. Has this happened to anybody else and did you find a solution.
I have the lexicon 15 speaker with acoustic glass front windows

So might have possibly found the issue causing this. The rear of the drivers seat “snapped” making it flop about and looks like there is tons of cables behind the seat, maybe with the seat back being loose it’s causing some cable to move ??? Mine is a RHD if that makes any difference….. just a thought

So I feel a tad stupid now, it was the sat nave with the alerts on picking up various alerts causing the speakers to fade …. I now feel like a complete dick hahaha

When I drove my car home for the dealer the first time I had this issue and finally figured it out. Any alert or bell will do it and if your radio is playing loud enough, you won't hear the alert so you don't know.

IIRC, I’m pretty sure the threshold is adjustable though I haven’t seen it for a while.

In my last car, as far as the navigation, you could adjust it on your volume knob while it was talking.
But you could also tell it in the settings, whether or not to lower the radio when there was a notification and if so, how much.
