  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just want to say at the top, this is not an evaluation of Genesis Pay, or how useful/unnecessary the feature is. I’m just trying to see if anyone has gotten it to work at all, and whether anyone else is having issues similar to mine.

Just to see how the option works, I’ve attempted to set it up in my GV70. I configured it in the Genesis app and added a payment type and associated the parking with it. All good so far. Unfortunately when I select the option in the car, the only thing that happens is that I get a message that says in order to use the feature I need to create a Connected Services account. The screen options are either “Create Connected Services account” or “Cancel”. I already have a functional Connected Services account and Genesis Pay is configured in the app. If I select the configure option, after a short delay, it says “Connected Services successfully activated.” The option still doesn’t work, and just keeps popping up the same screen.

I have an open ticket on the issue with Genesis. Unfortunately they seem clueless. They’ve asked me a few times now if I have Genesis Pay set up in the app and whether I have a payment type set up. Each time I’ve answered yes. A couple of weeks goes by, and they contact me with the same question. So for the time being I’ve given up on it. Sad that they implement a feature that seems not to work at all…at least for me. It’s not a big deal to me in that I don’t need the app, but was curious about it. Has anyone on the forum actually gotten the feature to work? If so how did you do it? If you’ve tried to set it up and it isn’t working for you post here as well, and if enough people respond, I’ll pass the thread on to Genesis engineering. Thanks.

I installed it on our 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy ( haven’t used it yet) the I tried installing it on the 2023 Genesis G70 and it’s telling me that the email address is recorded already. What if you have only one email address?

Thanks for the reply. I’d be very curious to know what happens when you try to use it on the Santa Fe. Do you get the actual screens to attempt a parking payment? And where exactly do you get the email already recorded message? In the Genesis app on your phone or in the car?

WHen I try loading info in the car itself. Tells me "email already used".

Had the same issue, got it to work. I did not set it through the app first and opened a ticket. They had me restart my GV80 infotainment unit (hold down setup and map). Then later their support asked me to set it up through the app and add a credit card. After I've done that, it worked in the Car as well. Overall I find it pretty useless with a single parking merchant. Hoping they will expand to other vendors and gas stations.

I would suggest doublechecking in your app, also check Genesis Owners Homepage | MyGenesis account to see if it shows up there. I know it sounds silly, but I would even try to unsubscribe and resubscribe and add a different credit card.

So far, it shows in both the app and a web browser. I’ve done multiple system reboots, mostly because of another annoying bug (the one where it does not correctly initialize the split screen in the map to show my Sirius/XM information. It just hangs on “preparing Sirius/XM, with the “dancing dominoes” screen). Still no luck with Genesis Pay.

I’m going to try unsubscribing and resubscribing to see if that fixes Genesis Pay. Thanks!

Well, I’ve updated the software again, this time to the November 1 version, uninstalled Genesis Pay, rebooted, installed through the app, rebooted again…still no joy. I’ve updated my open ticket yet again with more screenshots of the software version, and the messages I get from the car telling me to install Genesis Pay through the app even though it is already installed. The ticket is now a month old and I’ve given up on it ever working, we’ll see I guess. 🙄
