  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It was delivered to the dealer this afternoon!!!

I'm scheduled to pick up the car Friday morning and my re-badge kit is on order. I'll take some pictures if it is sunny, Friday.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Nice looking color. I've been watching them as they come off the boat hear. All I've seen si black, silver and gray. The only R Spec's I've seen were Gray.

Crusty, I live in L.A. I used to see cars come off the boats in San Pedro. Would love to see and take a pic of the Genesis being unloaded. Where does that take place?

And I really like the Blue and Red colors.

LA,
They come off the boat up in Port Hueneme, about 70 miles north of LA. But they are on the Navy base up here so taking pictures is kind of a No-No.

Hyundai, Kia and Mazda all off load in the port and are processed on the Navy base. BMW also off loads in the port but are processed out in town. I also see a lot of the new prototype BMW's running around with pannels attached to hide what they look like.

Thanks for the info. Port Hueneme is a little bit out of the way for me but I'll try to check it out sometime.

Picked up the car this morning. The dealer sure did a thorough delivery explaining stuff including a trip out to meet his service department.

Sorry, no pictures. There was some light snow on the ground, and the car was dirty as soon as we drove it a couple of blocks. Actually, we took it for a 20 mile test drive before writing the check. Then, after doing all the paper work, I took the DW to lunch at a neighboring town.

Going to like this car, but lots of stuff to learn and get used to yet. One thing, I noticed, is that the throttle tip-in is a little stiffer and longer than on my other vehicles.

Pictures when it is clean again and sunny out.

Oh yes, the manager told me he had a call from another dealer wanting to trade him something for my car. He had a customer looking for the red color also.
