  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Ok I dont know how to make a pole or I would. Maybe one of the Admins could help me with a sticky?

I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this: I've gotten the new exhaust system installed by BORLA, I have been considering replacing the "h" with "wings" on the trunk and putting a red "R" by the 4.6....

Now my thoughts are hoovering around... as aggressive as the exhaust sounds and this being the first v8 out of Korea I'm thinking I want EVERYONE to know it IS a Hyundai..... I'm still considering the red "R" by the 4.6

all input and thoughts are welcomed

Red R is about the most played out ricer badge you can use. I don't recommend it.

Was it custom setup or do they make a kit?

They just finished installing THE full cat-back prototype in my car. I understand that it could be "to market" as early as late summer........:D

Cool, glad to know. Nice vid by the way.

Sounds good. Let me know if you can still hear the low frequency range on the sound system and is there any drone on the freeways.

I would go with R46--

4.6 BA- BAD ASS
Wating for the 4.6 supercharged/intercooled 445 HP 2011 model, paddle shifts, Borla, 4 wheel drive that would earn the right to carry a 4.6 red R or 4.6OMFG

anything other than what the Hyundai factory produced will be fake...and labeled as a wanna be..........you always see an AMG Benz an M5 or M6, if you see and R550 or R535 you would laugh at the wanna be driver wouldn't you? ... I know I would

Don't do it. The 4.6 badge looks nice. If anything, just get rid of the Genesis and leave the 4.6. Having an exhaust doesn't increase the performance of your car noticeably so it's not a "R" in any way, shape, or form. My $0.02 anyway. :)

With that said, it is your money and if it makes you happy, do what you want. If you're dead set on adding some sort of R badge I would 'keep it in the family' so to speak and get a Genesis Coupe R-Spec badge. It won't make a lot of sense to most enthusiasts, but at least it's Genesis-related badging.

Not complaining or anything, but I didn't realize that people were this badge-conscious.
I guess I also fall in that category since I changed out the H badge to KDM wing badges thinking that it looked nicer. :D

Everyone brings some good argument! Thanks for the fantastic input.

I'm with nearwater in that I think the "winged" badges look much nicer..... than the ginormous "H" anyway I seem to be leaning towards "blacking-out" all the emblems on the rear

I have the wing badges which look great; but I am proud of owning a Genesis, and I don't want to hide what kind of car I'm driving. Other than the badges, I think the design and appearance of the Genesis is close to perfect. Adding after-market emblems, exhaust flanges, spoilers, etc. is like piercings in a beautiful woman's body. You can't improve what is created beautiful.

I generally agree with you! However I plan to add a centrifugal supercharger at 5-8lbs? maybe, so performance may be significantly increased...errrrr when that will happens is anybodies bet, I have to convince the beautiful woman with the perfect curves that daddys Genny needs a bl@w-j@b!!!!:D
