  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Good Evening Everyone,

I hope all is well with you all. I have a question for Genny and Equus owners that has the Ivory interior. Is it pretty durable? Does it require frequent maintenance on it? I tend to wear a lot of jeans and by it being very light in color.... Does it hold up well? Does it stain very fast? I will have to say that it is a very beautiful combination with the black carpet. Give me some input..........

Only had it for 3 days but it's so beautiful I think it's worth the risk. I paid $400 for a 5 yr protection plan on the leather-it also covers dents and scratches less than 4" on the exterior- so when my kids inevitably spill something I don't have to worry

I have Beige interior which is quite similar in color to the Ivory. I wear jeans daily and have had my car since last September. I have zero issues with jeans leaving marks on my seat. I do treat my seats with a leather conditioner every 3 months. Still looks like the day I bought it.

I wear nothing but jeans and have had my car since last Aug with Ivory interior. Looks like the day I bought it still. ;) The interior is very durable, no creases or any type of visible wear of the drivers seat yet. Ivory is stunning and IMHO the most beautiful of all the interiors they offer but then again I may be bias. :D

By the way, it is leaps and bounds ahead in durability compared to the Gen 1 which was average at best and I am being nice. :)

I've had mine two and a half years and no problems.

Not sure we can compare an Equus interior to the Gen 2 as we have no clue if they are even similar materials or dyes. Maybe the Equus is better, maybe not. ;)

I remember seeing blue "jeans" stains on the white seats of the Kia K900 at the auto show last year - but that's another car entirely. So/but I understand the concern for that reason...

My wife wore new blue jeans on a summer roadtrip and stained my Audi's beige seats badly and the blue never left. Avoid newer dark fabrics. You never know what pressure, sweat, and heat will do.

...sounds like cooled/ventilated seats are somewhat more important than we'd thought!
