  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My GV60 appears to remain a unicorn. The really interesting one to me was only 2 GV60s sold in Korea. Do they know something in the home country? If yes, what am I missing as I still love my GV60P?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
They would probably sell more in Canada if they were a little more responsive to customers wanting to purchase. I can't believe how sluggish the process has been, seems I'm constantly calling to ask where my vehicle is and when it will be here from the storage location 100km away.

So how hard is the depreciation bug hitting the Genesis EV's?

I've been seeing stories that EV's in general are getting clobbered on the depreciation side of things.

Seems odd the G70 sold much better than the G80 and 90 but it is being discontinued. That is like MB not having a C class - I heard a rumor it was coming back but only has a magma model.

Heads up that the EV tax credit that was used to entice folks to go EV may disappear real soon.

After looking around at several manufacturers, I'm happy that I've chosen the vehicle that will suit my needs for the next 5-10yrs, probably 10. GV70

Maybe EV's will be worth considering in another 5-10yrs. Certainly not at this time for us.

BEV sales in Korea have tanked (w/ the exception for Tesla) due to a variety of factors, but even prior, the GV60 was not selling in any significant nos. and as predicted, has been a dud for Genesis worldwide, even over in Europe.

That's because the G80 has been Genesis' best selling model due to domestic sales and the G90 far outsells the G70 in Korea and has been one of their most profitable models.

There has been increasing scuttlebutt about the G70 eventually returning as a BEV as Kia has reportedly restarted their BEV Stinger replacement.

I was searching for G80 EV's when I bought mine. I bought an off lease 2023 G80 EV with 3000 miles for 50% off original MSRP in November of 2024. This was on par for most of the G80 EV's I found.
